DNA and You

Welcome to my new blog.  I'm Matt Mealiffe, a medical doctor with training and board certification in internal medicine and clinical genetics.  I went to college at Stanford University and my M.D. is from Yale.  Subsequently, I trained in internal medicine and clinical genetics (with a particular focus on adult genetics and cancer genetics) at the University of Washington, where I am currently an attending physician and junior faculty member. 

We are at an inflection point in clinical medicine-one that offers both incredible opportunities and a number of difficult challenges.  I'm passionate about the intersection between genomics and the individual, particularly as it relates to health.  I hope you'll stop by every once in a while to explore this area here at DNA and You.
